The whole event is based on a 1940’s theme and in keeping with this period we will again be offering our visitors the opportunity to take a flight in our genuine 1940s’ Tiger Moth. 7/8th "Military & Flying Machines" Essex Branch of the MVT annual show
A military vehicle and flying show recreating past times with two hundred & fifty plus historical military vehicles combined with a fly in of over sixty vintage and modern aircraft. Flying displays including a Spitfire. On the ground, up to ten  tanks running, forty plus living history displays, historic equipment, arena events, militaria and family stalls, refreshments, forties entertainer as well as tank, and helicopter rides creating a unique atmosphere at this stunning site. Particular attention is paid to the authenticity of vehicles, aircraft and equipment to ensure that this event is of educational value for members of the public and that the younger generations are aware of our heritage.

14/15th “Combined Ops” IMPS Military Show & Vintage Aircraft Week-end  The Invicta Military-Vehicle Preservation Society present THE NEW IMPS show  at   Headcorn Aerodrome, near Maidstone, Kent.      This Event will be open to the public on the Saturday and Sunday   Featuring:  A ‘fly-in’ of vintage Military and Civilian aircraft, including famous WW2  warplanes, continuously throughout the whole week-end -   Military vehicle displays   -   Live Arena Battle-action. 18th Festival of the Air. The commemoration event for the 70th Anniversary for the Battle of Britain. It will be held at the original site of RAF Hornchurch (now Hornchurch Country Park). Our aim is to generate an atmosphere of 'stepping back in time' with military vehicles and period dress. 18/19th SALUTE TO THE 40's ~ THE HISTORIC DOCKYARD CHATHAM One of the most atmospheric WW2 events in the country. Set in the heart of a preserved naval dockyard this one has the lot! Real warships, concerts, air raids, steam railway, convoys, river trips, fire fighting, troop embarcations and much more. This event is a film-set like recreation of a south coast dockyard town at war (DID YOU SEE FOYLE'S WAR?) All pre-registered participants get free entry to all Dockyard attractions and free camping from Friday through to first thing Monday.
